Dr. El-Dorado Johnson received her medical training in Switzerland, interned at the Harlem Hospital Center, and was a resident in psychiatry at the Rockland Psychiatric Center in New York. In 1967 she came to Lynchburg as a general practitioner with a secondary interest in psychiatry.
Licensed in New York as well as Virginia, Dr. El-Dorado Johnson was a member of the Lynchburg Academy of Medicine, the Medical Society of Virginia, the American Medical Association, and the National Medical Society.
