President’s letter

The opening of the fourth exhibit, "By God's Grace...", has marked yet another milestone in the continuation and growth of the Legacy Museum. In retrospect, it is almost unbelievable to realize how far we have come. We are grateful to and attribute this growth to the hard work and support of many like yourselves.

The positive and encouraging comments and suggestions from visitors to the museum have energized members of the board and those serving on various committees. It is our hope that this energy will spread throughout the entire community and that more and more individuals will share with us as we continue to celebrate the heritage, culture and history of African Americans in Lynchburg and the surrounding counties.
